Privacy & AI notice
This explains how Shortlizt uses software to help hiring teams, and what it never does. Each employer or agency is responsible for its own hiring and tells you who to contact.
What the AI does
- Reads your CV and answers and compares them with the job's published criteria, showing a person the exact lines it used.
- Runs structured interviews with the same job-related questions for everyone, and summarises your answers with quotes and timestamps.
- Flags uncertainty and missing information as “not enough evidence”, never as a low score.
What it never does
- Make a hiring decision or reject anyone automatically.
- Score your tone, accent, facial expression, eye contact, emotion or perceived confidence.
- Infer age, gender, ethnicity, disability, religion or other protected characteristics.
- Use your data to train AI models.
Your choices
- Answer by typing instead of speaking, or ask for a human interviewer.
- Ask for an adjustment at any point.
- Correct anything we got wrong, or challenge an AI summary. A person reviews every request.
- Get a copy of your data or ask for it to be deleted. Requests are answered within 30 days.
How long we keep it
Applications are kept for the period the employer sets (usually 12 months after the job closes). Interview audio is deleted after 30 days unless the employer sets a shorter period.
